Delicacy of the Day

Here's one for the blog. I won't elaborate, because the concept speaks for itsself. The Southern part of Sudan enjoys a local dish called Bigin. It's quite simple, monkey's hand cooked with some sesame seads closed in the palm. For some reason it escaped my mind to ask at what temperature and for how long. But I'm sure you'll figure it out by the time you find some nice fat monkey's hands in your local market.

I'm told the hand meat is tender and tasty.

Bon apetit.

i am renowned for eating anything and anything (The secret is not to think about what you are eating, but what it tastes like).

With monkey hand including fingernails, I would have to think really hard!

HOLY SHIT!!!!!!

I mean really do they need to keep the finger nails on the poor little thing. But then again if they plucked them out that would be a case for animal activists to investigate.........

Wiss can ya please taste it and let me know if it really is nice meat.

Merry Xmas everyone be safe over the holidays and make sure you eat and drink way too much (maybe not monkey hands though) xxx

Hey at least it's not cannibalism, eh?

Ooops...by "down there" I mean in Australia. As I was re-reading my post I thought I'd better clarify as it didn't sound quite right.

Maybe the finger nails are the crunchy part of it, or maybe you just suck the meat off it, like you would from a bone. I don't know. Kylie, there's little I won't do for you. You can count this as one of them. Axel, I won't have to think hard about this one. To me it's a no brainer. Although we do eat some pretty weird stuff ourselves (Lebanese). Includes raw meat, raw liver, brains, spinal cords, tongue, and goat testicles (very tender).

My opinion is still the same, no matter how tender or crispy it might be. How can you even consider eating what it seems like our own hands? It brings to my mind images of cannibalism and my face is now a very disgusted one, as I write this. POOOOHHHHH!
Goats' balls? Oh PLEASE!

I do hope it is an ape! Looks awfully like a human bodypart found in a burned down house. Definately no table food!
